HallingSpranget – Norway’s longest family-friendly MTB trail
The 17 km long ride goes from the mountain all the way down to the centre of Nesbyen, with a drop of almost 1000 metres. The views and experiences along the way are spectacular—and the trail can also be enjoyed on foot.
The trail is rated blue (moderately challenging) and is suitable for those with some experience and endurance. A full-suspension trail bike is recommended for optimal comfort, especially for beginners. The recommended minimum age is 7 years. Most families take between 2 and 4 hours to complete the descent.
The FjellLinken bike shuttle bus transports you and your bike from Nesbyen center to the starting point on the mountain. The bus operates daily during the summer season and on weekends in the fall. If you wish to ride outside the bus schedule, alternative transport methods are available. Prefer to hike the trail? Read more about the hiking experience here.
